What style of photography does Shea Photography use?
I use Lifestyle photography, letting your children just be themselves. I am patient and don't mind waiting to get that perfect shot. Kids will be kids and I understand that they will have moments of imperfection and that's OK! We're there to make them (and you) as comfortable as possible so we can capture their unique personality in the most natural setting. Most sessions last about an hour which allows plenty of time to capture your little one.

Where will my session take place?
The Studio is located on the third floor of the Yellow Barn. The Yellow Barn is located on Ridgeview just south of College Blvd. All of the sessions are by appointment, no waiting in lines, and no rushing through the process. Outdoor and Location sessions are available upon request.

What if my child gets sick?
We understand that children can be unpredictable and can get sick at the last minute. We ask that you call to reschedule your session as soon as possible if your child is sick.

What should we wear?
I recommend simple clothing for children and adults. Jeans or khakis with bare feet (weather permitting) look nice. Clothing with logos or busy patterns can be distracting. Black, Brown and cream, pale pink (not white) textured clothing photographs best in Black and White. I ask that you dress all subjects to be photographed in similar clothing (for example, all denim or all khakis). Please view sessions on the website for clothing ideas.

Who should come to our session?
It is best to only bring the persons being photographed to your session. Children can become easily distracted when there are too many people around "watching" them.

Does Shea Photography offer birth announcements and cards?
Yes! Please browse through the pricing page for a few samples of different types of cards that are offered.

Does Shea Photography offer custom framing?
At your proof viewing appointment I will have frames and prices available for you. Please contact us for further information.

When will my proofs and final prints be ready?
Your proofs will be available for viewing within 1week to 10 days. I will call to set up a time for you to come in and review your proofs. At this time, I will answer any questions you have and offer you some suggestions for enlargements. I ask that orders be placed within 3 weeks. Final print orders will be ready within 4-6 weeks.
